Rear Spoiler Question
I am just wondering. And maybe a dealer needs to answer this, but if you are to get the RS option or buy an SS, can you specify to have the RS/SS rear spoiler NOT installed? I am assuming that is done at the factory and not the dealership (as the dealership would probably not have a problem leaving off dealer labor installed items like stripes). So can the dealer make a request like this to the factory to leave off the installation of the rear spoiler? Has anyone done anything like this (with or without success)?
Thanks for any input. |

Haven't heard of this. I highly doubt they would be able to omit it.

I believe that is not possible, as when building an SS or LT with the RS pkg, the trunk lids already have the holes in them and are already painted when the spoiler is installed. Its not an option that you can add or delete. BUT, if you want one bad enough without one......You could always buy another blank trunk lid and have it painted and sell yours.

I bet if you post it up hear on the forums you might be able to work it out so that someone with an LS that wants a spoiler would trade you trunk lids.
Otherwise you would proably have to have the spoiler removed, holes filled, and re-painted. Another option that wouldn't look quite as good would be to remove the spoiler and find some rubber plugs at a hardware store that you could put in it's place.
