With a 67 in the garage, and a 2010 on order, I skipped the V8, for the Lambo doors, (Maybe). Wanna see it first!! But the 6 w/300 hp, I'm only gonna have 50-75 more in my 67-w/mono leafs-Go figure who would win that race!! ( Times have changed)!!

It's threads like this that make me re-think the whole Camaro idea. You won't see Lambo doors on a Viper or Porsche...and for $35k you could get a decent used one. I just hope nobody does this tacky ghetto crap to any Camaros in my neighborhood or I'm selling it.

I thought half the point of pony cars was that anyone could afford to buy them and then personalize them as they saw fit. Frankly I'm a little dismayed at all of the close minded attitudes towards someone with a perfectly legitimate question regarding lambo/butterfly doors. Frankly, the OP probably doesn't care whether YOU like them or not; he wants to know what they'd do to his warranty. This is his Camaro and he can do whatever he likes to it. Just be glad he's buying a Camaro and not spending his hard earned cash on a foreign-made vehicle.

There was also a corvette that turned into a boat..

There is no such thing as "Lambo" doors.

They're either "scissor", "butterfly", or "gull-wing".

I, for a minute or two, considered scissor doors on my '02 Trans Am convertible. It would be mostly for getting out of the car in tight parking situations. The T/A's doors are really long.

I decided against it.

It's great seeing wobbly doors flying in the air on an SL55. And by great, I mean really tacky. The reason the doors work well on the Countach, Diablo, and Murcielago is because they're designed to lower right onto the rockers and the hinge is mounted on top of the fender, not inside it. Statics demands that the location of the hinge on a normal opening door is NOT a good place to put a sturdy door hinge that is going to have forces placed on it on three axes. This is one of many reasons I will never put a vertical door kit on any car or have much respect for a car with one.
Thanks for info I was wondering about the weight of the doors...I want the car to remain solid.............LIKE A ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess I have to start dreaming of something else??????????????????
