2015 Camaro SS 1Le Tire suggestions

Hi All,
It is about to time to get new tires after 2 years. Goodyear did good job for approximately 22k miles. I need a suggestion which tires should I choose from Goodyear, Michelin Pilot super sport or continental extereme contact sport. I am daily driver and I don't take my car to tracks or drag race so I need tires with good lifetime and good performance. And I also need suggestions from where I should mount new tires and balance it. I am checking local Atlanta dealers most of them have bad review about service or they been scratching wheels. Should I choose Chevy dealer,discount tires , pep boys or any other suggestions? And also do I need to do alignment after new tires installed?Thanks

You will get a lot of biased opinions on this, so here is mine. I have Nitto Invo's and love them. I had mine mounted and balanced at a discount tire shop and they did a great job. You don't need to get an alignment unless your messing with the suspension or the car feels like its pulling to the left or right.

I've heard the new pilot sport 4's are really good, that's what I'm getting when mine wear out, supposedly last twice as long as the gy's and stick very well too

Pilot Sport 4S. They rock, I have about 2K on mine and these things stick in rain almost as good as dry. These stick allot better and handle better than the Pilot Super Sports I had on before.

I've had good luck using both Tire Rack and local Discount Tire. Discount will price match (at least they do here), but don't usually have the selection on hand that Tire Rack does. When I buy from Tire Rack, I have them shipped to a local installer here, and it's always gone smooth. With Discount, you get (well you pay for) the warranty so if you get a flat or fault in the tire, the tire will be replaced or repaired. Either will work fine for you.

So this is just my opinion, I have run the Good Years, Nitto Invo and MPSS. I like the MPSS the best. I have actually have another set of MPSS already if need for next yr in advance. I run 285/35/20 in front and 315/35/20 in the rears

I use the MPSS on the street and Goodyears on the track. I like the MPSS much better on the street, their cold tire characteristics are much better.

I've had Continental DW's and Goodyear Eagle F1's on my 1LE. The Continentals are an excellent daily driver tire even in the rain. I drive highway only and had 4/32" left on my rear 315's and 8/32" left on my front 245s after 25k. I liked the look and they weren't very noisy. However, if I pushed my car on dry warm cement, the Goodyears had better grip. They are bad in rain and cold though. Most people don't get 20k out of the Goodyears. As far as the best tire, it's probably the MPSS but they can get expensive.

I'm looking at Michelin PS A/S 3+'s next time around. I have BFG's on now. They have been amazing in rain, sleet, ice, and snow!

The PS A/S 3's look to be a step up, so I'll give them a shot.

If you get any kind of rain, or ice and snow, consider these.

I mounted a set of the Michelin PS A/S 3+ tires to ZL1 5 spokes a few months ago for the colder part of the year. I picked up 4 285's at Discount Tire for $200 each. I am pleased so far but it's hard to outperform a summer tire during the summer so they are off the car until October.

Yes, I know. We get really weird weather here... we've had snow hit here as late as June before. I'd just rather run them all year round, with rain here and the flat roads that accumulate it.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Is anyone have experience with BFgoodrich G-Force Comp-2 A/S. I am thinking about that one as I am daily drive and I don't take my car to track. I think it might suite me as it has more UTQG-400 AA A and same speed and load rating as OEM and also half of the price than MPSS and Goodyear.

What I'm currently running on all corners... I have over 20K on them, and they have been amazing. Excellent in rain, ice, snow, and dry... they've been all the way down to -10*, and they stuck like glue.

I'm running the BFG A/S also . Great tire in all conditions. Launch extremely well also. I am very impressed with them . Who knew a A/S would perform so well.
