Ported Intake Manifold
Hello, I am wanting to get a ported intake manifold for my 2010 L99. There are so many different ones I am having a hard time deciding which one I want. Which one does everyone suggest? I currently have kooks 1 7/8’ long tube headers, rotofab cai, magnaflow tips.

I would go with the rod modded one from GPI. A lot of folks running this one.

Second the GPI suggestion. Ported with the Rod Mod. Quality work and noticeable difference.

Getting my ported rod mod put on by GPI this week. Hopefully get the car back next week. Anyways ported rod mod is worth 6-12rwhp. On a stock motor expect the low end of that. Big cam motors can make 12rwhp or more.
Only downside of having it ported is they don't recommend nitrous or forced induction. Probably going to have to go back to stock or non ported next year.lol |

I have the GPI intake a thoroughly pleased with it, I’m making about 500 wheel hp with heads, cam, headers, shaft mounted valvetrain, and E85. through a 6 speed manual. And the car runs great and pulls up to 7k without any issues.

These guys all covered it really well, but I'll be one more echo - GPI ported rod mod! The OEM really did a phenomenal job with that manifold from the factory, and outside of a hi-rpm combination that plans to rip 7500+rpm, it's very tough to beat for it's overall power curve.
The rod mod really helps the air in the plenum make the sharp transition into the intake runner by giving the air a radius, rather than an edge to follow. Air hates sharp edges! Most of that 6-12whp gain is the result of those radius rods. The porting (which also includes removing the the stands/supports in the middle of the manifold) doesn't seem to do much to add more peak power, but it has a fairly substantial influence on midrange power and torque the engine produces. That's a seat of the pants difference you'll feel every time you rip through that 3500-5000rpm range. As a few noted, we recommend against the porting for boosted/nitrous applications, as it reduces the integrity of the manifold slightly. Specifically, the plugs in the bottom of the manifold where the stands once were are likely to push out under increased manifold pressure.

I went with Rick Crawford, which is basically the same as the GPI. Rick ports the center posts out, GPI has an option for that.

Which shaft mount setup you go with?

I know you didn't ask me... but I'll chime in. I have the BSR Max Lift shaft rockers in my build. The quality looked great out of the box, and so far so good with about 5k miles on them. I very much like that they are still a light weight OEM rocker, but coated and treated for strength, bushed, and of course shaft mounted for rigidity and stability under increased spring pressure and RPM.
We've been slipping these into more builds lately - for the money it's really not a bad upgrade for the aggressive hydraulic roller applications. We recommend the shaft mount stuff when you get over 450lbs open pressure - that really starts moving things around on factory individual pedestals.

I'm quite interested. I would consider this another light upgrade to my engine. Must I have a new tune? I assume the procedure will be the same as for the ported throttle body. Datalog and subsequent correction of the fuel map according to the datalog. it is so?
