Just glad no life threatening injuries occurred to anyone but race participants. Frankly, I hope they catch they Mustang driver and appropriate charges are filed. No excuse for putting the general public in danger like that.

I think they call that street racing.

Drag racing is a sanctioned event at a track with rules and a safety crew.

That's what I was going to say...

The media has been trying for years to create a hot button word/phrase for us car guys like "assault rifle" is for gun owners.

I'm glad I survived my stupid activities I did when I was younger. I'm 37 now and feel more grounded now and appreciate speed but in smarter ways.

I am glad there were no innocent people killed and RIP to the driver of the Camaro. You can't fix stupid yes but there is someone who loved that driver (family/spouse) who are now devastated.

I read that article, a dumb way to go. Driving I-10 a couple of weeks ago, doing 80 inside lane when I notice a new model Mustang closing on me fast; with a lot of traffic. When space permitted I changed to the outside lane and let the Saleen butthead by, which he did at full throttle. Had to be driving 120+ with a lot of traffic. I thought there would be a high speed wreck, fortunately nothing bad happened and he took the Vail exit.

As previously stated, can't fix stupid.

#1 reason my children are not getting any performance vehicle's of any kind while under my roof. Boring, slow and uninspiring vehicles that give them valuable seat time takes priority imho. Toyota corolla should do the trick.

I lived in Phoenix up until 3 years ago...The drivers out there are incredibly stupid (some of them), I used to see wrecks daily....
