when it come to weight, MOST 22's will be heavier than stock. now if you go towards a 22 in say a Nurbergring or an F14, they will probably be lighter than stock (im just guessing).

i personally LOVE 22" F14's on our cars. never thought id say that, but i really do.

GM even tested their 21" wheels and it slowed the SS down by about .2 on average (that equates to 20hp). That was due to a combination of extra weight and because the balance of that weight is moved further from center.

A 30 lb, 20" wheel take less energy to spin than a 30 lb, 22" wheel just because of the balance of the weight is further from center.

I watched a Camaro SS with a Whipple Supercharger and supporting mods go from running high 12s to running low 11s by just changing wheels/tires at the track. Now he runs 17" wheels as a daily driver setup. Now he can hook up on the street and at the track.

If guys like the look of 22-24" wheels that cool. But when they try to tell me they don't negatively affect their car's performance its completlely not true.

I wonder why they put 19" wheels on the Z28 and 18" wheels on the Z28R race car?
The 19's and 18's the tires will actually be a smaller diameter then the stock 20's on our cars as well. Not disagreeing with you small wheels go faster period. I did 22's for the simple reason that I really like the look that my car has. It's still fast enough to have fun on the street. But I don't race and I could give a shit about street racing. Do what you like and what fits your needs not what everyone says. Enjoy your car that's what it's meant for.

Yeah, bc they didnt change anything else. Like aerodynamics, technological improvements, such as ERS, etc. Thats all they had to do, was switch to a v6 and instantly had more performance.

It applies to both V6 and V8 ranks. The 2014 Z/28 has stock 19” for a reason. Plus the 22’s make you look like a complete idiot on a muscle car IMO. But if that’s your thing, then so be it.
So how much are the payments you make on BreedsAS' car?

Ive been looking at this forum for years and I love how helpful most people are around here, but it seems the 22'' wheel discussion brings out the worst in people. We get it, you dont like 22s, no need to say people who do look like idiots.

That has nothing to do with my statement. I was just pointing out that guys logic, in v6ers talking like they are f1 drivers, and the irony that f1 drivers are now v6 drivers...

20' is the largest i would probably go. I like more rubber underneath a powerful car.

22'

I have 22's, ride suffers insignificantly for me and I think they look good. If I ever track it I kept my stock tires and wheels. IMO 24's are too big. But beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Do what you like and F***k the haters.
