I can't find any info, anywhere, that says the 1LE brakes are anything other than SS brakes. Seems odd for a "track ready" package. I really hope they are somehow beefed up. I find standard SS brakes almost scary just on the street.

What is "scary" about them?

I think you'll find a "more aggressive" brake pad, supplied.

There are some tweaks...

If you really want the ZL1 brakes, we do have a Chevrolet Performance Catalogue with all kinds of 'goodies' to select from.......

This is an affordable car that will shock many and be a pleasant surprise to our Camaro enthusiasts.......
Fair enough. I have never had the chance to play that much with an SS, so I will have to take your word that the SS brakes are sufficient. But I figured you have a better set of brakes suited for track use, why not through them on there. I would think GMs price on the 6pots is not that much more then the 4. Even so, making it a factory option, I think would be a money maker for Chevrolet. I would imagine that anyone checking the boxes for a 1le would not let that box go unchecked.

That all makes sense, however I believe it's being saved for another Camaro. Z**

Hmmm...you have a nice car there, but I would think that if you used a vert for tracking, like the 1LE option would be, wouldn't that be a safety issue with no hardtop?

keep in mind - the SS comes with Brembo Brakes - 6 piston Brembo Brakes!

You can buy the ZL1 brakes thru the Chevrolet Performance Catalog.

We wanted to keep the price reasonable - and further, we must keep build complexity down - it improves quality AND it saves money so that the cost of the car to you is lower.
