The 5.0 only stalled to 4100 RPM though compared to 5000+ of the Camaro, so the torque multiplication must have been crazy high, especially since the Camaro is 10% heavier. Still trying to get more power out of the top end but I don't think there is much I can do since the Vortech unit is maxed out.
What do you mean by too much? Sounds like you made your v6 faster than the 5.0! Do you know what the Mustang does in the 1/4?

Don't know what the real time is, it only ran a 12.6 on Friday night but I only got a 1.9 second 60' on that run. I got the 60' time down to 1.8 seconds after some tuning but screwed up the 1-2 shift times so it didn't command the shift until 7700 RPM, was at the rev limiter at 8000 RPM. My best 60' time before I put a 5C converter on it was 2.0, so there is a lot of tuning to do. Didn't also help that my intake air temps were over 140 degrees.

One thing I hate about NA cars is how sensitive they are to outside air temps, especially here where the temps can hit over 110 degrees.

Don't think I'm going to take the Camaro out to the track again this year, I want to go ahead and start making the winter mods. I want to do a remote oil filter, thermostat, and cooler with a sensor so I can see what the oil is really doing. Plus it will give me an oil feed line for when I put a better Vortech head unit on. The V3 really wasn't made to be spun up to 60k RPM and I'm kind of cooking that self-contained oil, I need something that can be circulated and cooled.

Definitely can't go to the track now, going to be just above freezing on Friday night, drag radials will not be happy with that. Got the head unit off and checking it out for any damage since the pulley was hitting the bracket slightly. Changing to a Goodyear belt also, the gates one is stretching too much and causing it to skip at 7000+ in 3rd gear, never had problems with the gatorbacks doing that.

Got the head unit off and the damage to the bracket is clear. It is having metal contact with the pulley, probably costing power with the extra drag. When the supercharger is spinning up the input shaft will move out from the force, so I need extra clearance. This is a 32 tooth pulley, the largest I could get, a 28 tooth might clear but I wanted max tooth count for a 20mm wide cog. Time yo break out the trusty dremel though.

Might take this time to setup for N.A. and see if I can hit 12's Friday night.

Got my car back to NA but my front tires inside shoulder have vord showing, so I can't do any testing until I get new tires. I have worked on the idle tuning though, the supercharger was definitely was binding up on the bracket.

Took my meth nozzles apart and found out I had an air leak at one of my nozzles, I had tightened it too much and it damaged one of the threads. I got a new one, just waiting on sealant for it. It is hard for me to do a boost leak check now since the MACE cams come with so much overlap that the air just goes straight out the exhaust valves.

Also going to be doing something special when I put the supercharger back on the car, should help out with power a lot if I can set it up correctly.

eagerly awaiting. Hoping to get going more on my car in the summer when I have a garage again. Got some “light reading” to do before getting started

I'm ready to get this NA run out of the way so I can put the supercharger back on. I got some good improvements coming up.

Decided to run some numbers to figure out how much water I was ingesting compared to air. I am running 5.5% gasoline, 2.6% methanol, 2.6% water volume. With the cooling ability of water, to get the same percentage of cooling from gasoline I would have to run 4.6:1 AFR, which I don't have the ignition system to ignite that.

Still working on re-wiring the solenoids, just been too cold to do any work outside in the garage.

Did you ever get that NA run in?

Not yet. I have one more wire to attach, then do the tuning. I'm going to dyno it N.A. to shut some people up.

Almost done with my NA build testing, managed to get very good results out of the cams. Next upgrade for my supercharger will be to go to Air-to-Water intercooler with an ice box, more compact and I can run shorter pipes. Upgrading to a 4" MAF diameter pipe, and working on getting some of the kinks out of the higher RPM's in the tune. I will be putting my supercharger setup on a dyno, see how the torque curve really looks on it.
