Anyone install a tow hook?

Looking at the Phastek tow hook for my '12.
Wondering if anyone's installed one on a V6 and if it's actually a direct fit or mods were needed.

It's a hook used for towing.

Everything I've read says no on '10 to '13s but emailing Phastek produced a yes when I asked about my '12.

Very confusing.
On hold until I see somebody with 4Ds has got one.

I bought a 5/8” eyebolt from Lowe’s and a coupling nut. I welded the coupling nut to the passenger side frame and I screw the eye bolt in for events that require a tow hook. Haven’t ever used it for towing, but I’m sure it will work.

One of the points of the tow hook is it is on the outside of the car. Running a cable under the front of your car. If you have a splitter the cable is going to tear up the splitter when he starts to pull the car up. It's a plus if your car is lowered. Not everybody but ones that run a track or drag their car a tow hook is required.

Also a lot of the new cars come with a tow hook in the front & back. You just don't see them cause there covered with a pop off or pull off square piece of the car.

Did someone working at a track tell you that? I've never heard that before.

It's highly recommended if you don't want your front or rear end torn up. When towed at a track they don't care about protecting your car. They just want to remove it quickly.
