I just love the sound this thing makes. As you can see, still have traction issues. Cant even floor it in 3rd. Mostly just cruising so you can hear the blower.

Now that sounds good...

So if you are into that classical whistle of a big centrifugal supercharger, ESS now offers a straight cut gear option to any of their G series head units.

They sent me one to play with and it's quite noticeable. Have a listen for yourself.

I tried to get a video driving down the street, but the whistle sound does not come through in the vids. In person though, its much more noticeable. Sounds very similar to a turbo spooling up. Noises are cool.
Wow! Now that's what I like to hear, a cam AND a noisy SC!!! Music baby. I have the cam, just need to find a SC kit I can afford to get and have installed. Very nice sir!!

Thanks, these two tial 50s are sooo freakin loud. You cant hear shit at light throttle when they are bypassing, but once it goes into a little boost they shut up.

Its hard to drive the car at this power level without spinning. I went wot at the top of third and it still came loose. I think im gonna try to turn the boost down a few psi for a more street/traction frieny tune. Save this tune for the track. I want to get my WOT box tested, but cant get to redline without losing traction/control.

Save yourself the headache and pull some timing from the tune at wot.. you can always load this tune back in in under 2 minutes.

Two needed bc that supercharger is moving a lot of air...

On my set up, I run the Vortech race bypass that came with the kit and a second Tial. It is loud but I like it! They sound great when shifting a manual. Many people think mine is turbocharged bc of the part throttle whistle of the supercharger and the sound of the blow offs between shifts. But those in the know recognize the sound of those straight cut gears.

I really cannot see the appeal of trying to flat shift such a car. It's just asking for trouble, even more so when traction is difficult. It's not like there is any lag at all during a shift.

Ever raced an auto? hahah these new autos leave me no choice. They jump forward during a shift, I fall back. L.

I'm also preparing mentally and financially (might be a while) for a th400 swap.

Dan, do you have the 2psi spring in your tial? I was considering swapping in the 10 psi spring they sell in the BOV version. Maybe just for one of them.

Of course that will require a retune..

That's great power output from the smaller G2! Especially with that large of a pulley. Which lower pulley does your kit have? The 200 or 207 mm? Great power for 12psi.

Thanks man! I'm running the 200mm lower pulley. I have the additional 100mm upper pulley as well in the box. The performance shop that I got the car dyno tuned at was mind boggled as to how the car made that much power on just pump gas with nothing more than 1 3/4" longtubes, cam, and stock catback.

Car looks great, if I went with a centri I think I'd use ESS. How much torque did it make? Any guesses what it'd make on 93 only?

I wish dyno operators would use RPM instead of speed :P
