MyLink behaving oddly, starting yesterday (8/9/2016)
Hi,
So, out of the blue, MyLink has been acting strangely on my 2013 Chevrolet Camaro. My Bluetooth no longer works, it takes forever to change a channel or the change mode (i.e. AM to FM, FM to XM, etc.) or change the volume. Also, the Navigation is not working. Anyone else having the same issue? Thanks! |

If your still in the warranty take it back to the dealer, if not sounds like your head unit is going out.

Unfortunately, it's out of warranty. The one thing I forgot to add was that if I make several inputs (i.e. change the channel, change the input, change the volume, etc.) the unit will perform the inputs all at once but again, not until several minutes have passed. It almost seems like the unit has to think a few minutes and then will suddenly respond.

New OEM from dealer will run $700+
Aftermarket (retail) is going to be double that, easily |

Ok, so now everything is working as before (no delays in taking my inputs) but the Bluetooth is no longer showing as being available. I cannot connect my phone but all else is working. Very strange indeed.

you already have a cell phone...is it worth $700 not to pull over when making a call?

Have you tried pulling the radio fuse from the fuse panel in the trunk on the right side (passenger side)? I experienced that problem one time, after doing that I've never had anymore problems. If you haven't tried it might be worth a try.

Yeah, just tried it and nothing happened. Thanks for responding, I guess I'm out of options at this point.

Take it to the dealer anyway, they will perform an update. I had that same thing happened to me a few months ago.

Will updating the stereo help with the temperature readout on the stereo? Mine does not work very well.

I had my first wonky mylink experience this morning. I was using Nav and it froze. No response to any input. So i turned off the head unit and drove a bit. Turned it back on and XM/Sirius was working fine, but when I called for Nav, it was a black screen with a few lines, but no map. In about 3 minutes it just popped up and was working fine again. Haven't had any issues with Bluetooth though...

Luckily I have about a year left on my b2b warranty. I hope this was an isolated incident. But rest assured, if it happens again I am certainly taking her in.
