From a post out of an autox tire forum:

Quote:
Goodyear seems to want into the MPS4S and ECS game and track/autox game:
http://www.tractionnews.com/goodyear...formance-tire/
http://www.tractionnews.com/goodyear...ce-uuhp-tires/
http://news.goodyear.eu/LATEST-NEWS/...8-4a0133ce5a75
http://news.goodyear.eu/latest-news/...8-bd6b61829bb0

"Ultra High Performance" (probably TR "Max Performance")
Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 - Improvement over AS3, mainly wet braking and tread stability (guess they decided to skip 4?)

"Ultra Ultra High Performance" (probably TR "Extreme Performance")
Eagle F1 SuperSport - looks to be a direct PS4S and ECS competitor (I guess more "Max Performance")
Eagle F1 SuperSport R - looks to be a track/endurance type of offering (like RE11 or RS3/RS4)
Eagle F1 SuperSport RS - looks to be a track/autocross semi-slick type of offering (like MPSC2)

The Eagle F1 Supercar 3 and Supercar 3R are pretty sweet tires (track/endurance). So, if they are anything based off that, they should be decent options. Not sure why they didn't just extend the Supercar 3R with more tires instead of offering this new "SuperSport RS"
It is odd that GY is not just extending the Supercar 3R line to more sizes... Maybe there is some sort of agreement/limitation with Chevy on that tire and the Eagle F1 SuperSport RS is essentially a true GY version of that tire. I hear nothing but great things about the Supercar 3R on track...

Tirerack is trying get some info about these tires, they said not sure if or when they will be in american market.

More info from Roadrace Autox forum. Looks like these are not for american market. But Supercar 3 and 3R should be available later this year in more sizes.

I'd be happy with the SC3 in a 305/30/19. I have emailed Goodyear a while ago but never received a response. The Super Sports R looks like it might be the SC3 equivalent.

I would have a ZL1 1LE instead of the SS 1LE, if they made the SC3 in stock ZL1 1LE sizes

I had posted on some other thread that GY should make the SC3’s non R’s in ZLE specs. That extra width, an aggressive alignment, the already excellent grip and wear rate would be the ticket. I hope they do expand the sizes.

Yeah, I really wanted the ZL1 1LE, but I couldn't bear having to replace the tires every 3K miles. My car is a daily driver and my only car.

Those that say just get the PS4, I don't agree with. While the PS4 is a great all around performance tire, IMO is it too compromised for the aggressive nature of the ZL1 1LE. I have had the PS4 on another car and it just does not compare to an Extreme Performance Category tire for grip levels. It neuters and defeats the purpose of getting the ZL1 1LE IMO.

The F1 3 non-R is the perfect daily driver aggressive tire that gets reasonable wear and amazing grip levels. It is right on par with the RE-71r, RE-11, Advan Neova ad08r.

The SS RS version is the GT2RS / new GT3RS size to go after the MPSC2R.

Looks like they got compared to a lot of other high performance tires and they came out on top. Hope these come to US soon.

Looks like they don't even make them wide enough in the 19" or 20" sizes to matter for us anyways
