I have seen alot of posts about the game in various other threads. Lets start a discussion here. Do you plan on getting it when it comes out. Which side to you plan to play on and class? Do you plan on playing hardcore for end game content or casual play? Any particular guild plans or do you prefer solo play and PUGs. Do you have a solid group of friends and your own guilds? What's your guilds site? Etc.

I plan on playing as a Sith Bounty Hunter. Some of the awesome content I cant wait for is the ability to own your own player ship and allow friends to hop on board. This was one of the cool features of SWG back in the old days. I also might have a second Sith Warrior just for fooling around with.

I started a guild site over the summer which is in my sig. If any Camaro5 people dont have anywhere else to go, you are welcome to join up with my friends and coworkers.

Seeing as Sony doesnt have their hands in this one, I dont think it will be a problem. Bioware has a good history. And the videos so far have looked really good.

I have had high hopes for this... but most MMOs are a let down lately.

Considering BIOWARE is dev'ing swtor, it should be great.

I plan on playing a Sith Inquisitor.

But I hate gear based games(wow). If this game turns it "who has the coolest shoulder pads" I'll cancel my subscription asap.

The thing that was cool about SWG is that everyones crafted Armor or weapons were different based on the materials used. This was by far the greatest crafting system of an MMO. If they implemented something like this I would love it. But if it turns out like WoW, where its all about the next best thing and everyones wearing it, I understand where you are coming from.

I agree with you 100%. My biggest dream for a Star Wars game (and sadly I don't think it will be realized with this one) is to be able to start my own smuggling ring and pirate base and go around pirating other players

Jedi are overrated.

I'm glad somebody agrees with me!

The jedi classes could be 10 times as powerful as the non-jedi classes and I still wouldn't play them. When I build characters, I build based off a story - or at least some kind of theme. When I played WoW, I did my best to make a troll berserker like you'd have found in the RTS series. Same thing with my CoH characters, for one of which I even wrote a 10,000 word backstory.

:shrug:

Min-maxing just doesn't matter to me.

Yup, this is why my main in WoW is a blood elf Hunter. Closest I could get to the elven archers in Warcraft II
