I just had Camaro #2487 (Victroy Red 2SS, 6MT, white stripes, beige leather) arrive here at my dealership with 39 miles on the odometer! The car was built in late March but was just released from the quality hold. I haven't spoke to the customer yet but I am sure he will not be happy.

I don't know, based on all the problems with VIN 4486 I'd gladly trade 30 miles or so for a FLAWLESS and FUNCTIONING vehicle. Maybe they would have discovered the faulty AIR BAG and Speedometer on my son's car if they put a few more miles on it.

Just another point of view.

I do not think that its a big of a deal. Warrantee will start from 39.

Mine came with 21.4 mi on it after 44 of days of QH that is no big deal to me, Hell is the drive to and from the stripe company not 5 Mi or more, Have the car for 48 Hr and have 360 Mi on it and by Monday will have more than 700Mi on this car

Mine came in with 2 miles on it. Dealer put 3 on it. 5 miles when I drove off. Didn't take 30 minites to have 39 on it. Customer should be just fine. I would bet he'll just be glad it's here.

Not uncommon for cars to be pulled from the line and road tested prior to release.
All B4C's arrived w/22 miles as they were required to meet certain performance criteria prior to delivery.
I looked at mine as Factory Flogged!

I think I would be thankful that GM took the time for one of their professional drivers to drive "my" car 39 miles to ensure that it had no issues.

Its still a new car. I know a guy who works at nissan down the street and he said you'd be suprised at how many miles they put on each car before they arrive at a dealership with "0 miles." They usually drive them in quality control to make sure they're up to spec. My bet is they set the odo to start counting once the cars are ready to ship out, through the computer.

I say the customer should be happy that someone helped them break the car in a little bit

btw when they drive them at the factory they do not have ms daisy in the back seat

They DRIVE them(includes getting airborn)

If they've been holding onto it for over 2 months to check out quality issues, it's not really surprising they've put a few dozen miles on it. Tell your customer it just proves that they were using all that time to really make sure his car was OK, not just letting it sit for no reason.
