Meet Sookie. Just a feel good story.

Fandango is Back! On this, the day of my birthday, I share this. <--Bad Family Guy reference.

Meet Sookie.

About 5 years ago I was laid off. I had a paid off RX-8 ready to turn in for new Camaro. Then I had a kid, while un-employed. Lay-off after lay off, I thought I was never going to be able to buy my Camaro. Finally, last year I found a job that was stable. Saved up enough to by a used SS, Easy. I had to get this out of my system.

Mind you I tired a few times to by a car two year before. I tried to buy a used V6 but the dealer wanted to much and would give me any money down for my RX-8. God didn't want me to settle.

A bout a year later, I was going to be a 2010 with 100k miles but the buyer wanted way too much. Again, God didn't want me to settle.

I kept saving. So April of last year. I got a nice Tax return. I was easily going to buy a used 2012 or 2013 SS. I found a dealer with a great price.

I test drove it. Didn't realize before I got there that it was Auto and I really wanted a Manual V8. I was so disappointed.

I was about to leave. I decided to test drive the 2014 SS. It was awesome. But I thought to my self looking at the sticker, "how am I going to afford this?"

Dealer suggested a lease which I was so apposed to. However, what was the difference. I just finance the rest of the car after 3 year right?

We did the whole back and forth of what I would pay, down payment yada yada.

I spent hours there as a usual deal should. Finance guy came out. Said we could do the deal at the current numbers. I knew it was too good to be true. I was finally going to have my Camaro and then this? Next thing he said is that "we'll just have to drop the price of the car, you were waiting too long."

Lower down, Lower monthly, lower residual. God said, "OK, now."

This was better than any scenario I could have imagined. Now I have Sookie.

This is a comeback for the ages. I just wanted to share. I was so active a few years back. I'm glad to finally be a full fledged wearer of the mullet!

Woohoo, same car as mine right down to the color! Good choice! Welcome back. Now don't copy off me and black out the hood, wheels, and all the badges.

Great car, but why'd you have to go and disrespect us L99 owners? :-/

How is it disrespectful to you that he prefers a manual transmission?
