Oh yeah. The only impact is that you really need to make sure you also do the correct supporting mods so that traction doesn't become a big issue and things don't start breaking.

Seem like a fair price for cam, related parts, and installation of my supplied headers, cats, plugs, wires and dyno tune?

2511.00 sound like a pretty good deal.....

yes but i believe its different than a performance tune. they just do one thing that calculates the speedometer reading. i think the dealer can even do it.

But know that installing gears "could" affect your warranty.

Most guys installing gears are already modded and tuned, so its no biggy. But for the guys that want to keep their full factory warranty, this "could" be a issue.

Yesterday I was reading a thread where someone was having warranty issues because of gears. I believe it was due to broken axles or something in the driveline.

maybe i wasnt clear. i would say that gears would void a large part of your powertrain warranty whether you had it tuned or not.

Some of the benefit of the lower gearing can be lost to traction issues once you start putting serious levels of horsepower to the pavement. There are, of course, ways to improve traction but you can have too much of a good thing.
