"Look at my numbers?" What's Wrong?
Well I had my car dyno'ed this morning. I was a little surprised how low the HP was rated. Just curious; should i have pulled more HP?? Looking for some input.
Thanks Brent Here are my MODS:2011 2SS/RS 400hp+?? / K&N CAI./ V Max Throtle Body / Pypes Headers 1 7/8, high flo cats & Pype Bomb exhaust. tuned byTampa Tuning http://www.youtube.com/user/bigdaddy...s?feature=mhum

What was your AFR? What did the dyno shop think about it?

I have no clue on the Air Flow. I told him I thought this was a bit low. He told me not all Dyno's are the same.
I truly have a gut feeling the Dyno was off.

As mentioned in the other thread the numbers are too low.
1. Either the tune is off or 2. the dyno is having issues. or 3. your engine was heat soaked in that Florida heat. One thing I would like to mention from the video is the back to back dyno runs without any cool down. I was just wondering what your oil temp or intake air temps were? Whenever my car is dynoed we let is sit for a few minutes and cool down between runs. The graph also looks a little erratic. There could be an issue with the dyno. Hopefully some of the dyno experts will chime in. |

AFR = Air Fuel Ratio Did they even log that?
And yeah like I mentioned in the other thread it looks choppy to me. I only have my own dynos to compare it to and the one Phil posted in his tuning thread. here is to hoping it's either the dyno or dyno operator.

I thought the back to back runs were on timely when it was dyno'ed @ 9am.
Not to hot or muggy at that time. I also thoght my chart was too choppy. One thing I noticed is that the exhaust censor was not able to be hooked up to the exhaust for some odd reason. So it just layed on the rear of the dyno. Maybe this could the issue?? I was reaaly expecting at least closer to 400 RWH

I go 351 hp and 351 tq, with an auto, CAI, and SCT tune.

And this is the reason why there was no AFR readings because they left the wideband off. It would have been nice to see what was going on with the fueling. I doubt that is the reason for the choppy graph though.

Looks like the last run seem to have the smoothest graph, but the first two are just plain ugly.
Those numbers are disappointing even on a bolt on automatic with Pypes headers. Do you know which gear he did the pull in ? Obviously, your more that welcome to bring it back over and I can take another look at her. By any chance did you have a baseline dyno before I tuned it from the same dyno? Phil |

No baseline. I truly do not think it's the tune. I truly believe it was bad pulls. I felt is was rushed.
I will be back over to see you soon. I just need to get another MOD under my belt to tweak it.

The numbers are low but, just for piece of mind. Based on those mods no way you would hit 400RWHP on the best day. I'd be happy with 375 with those mods. Some stock L99's pull way low 300's. A baseline would have helped a great deal.

Your numbers are probably down 30 rwhp compared to mine. With the mods in my signature I put down 358 rwhp 370rwtq on a heat soaked day with a fat AFR in the 11's. I dont know much about the pypes headers but the collectors look a bit restrictive base on the pics. Who did your install on the headers? Did you remove the plugs? and did were you 02 threads in good shape? I would take Phil up on his offer and have him scan the car to see whats going on.

Conservative numbers Stock L99 A6 (310 - 320 rwhp) CAI, LT, Tune (350 - 360 rwhp) Average numbers Stock L99 A6 (320 - 330 rwhp) CAI, LT, Tune (360 - 370 rwhp) Generous numbers Stock L99 A6 (330 -340 rwhp) CAI, LT, Tune (370 -380 rwhp) Anyone making over 380 rwhp with just CAI, LT, and Tune is running on a very generous dyno (most likely not a Dyno Jet SAE numbers). |

L99 with CAI, shorties, cutouts and tune on a Dynapack (97 degrees OAT):
377 lbft / 365 RWHp No times. Too hot in central Texas as well.
