Thinking about having the rally stripes on my 2010 SS painted on as the factory vinyl is starting to peel a little bit. Has anyone had their stripes painted and how do you like them? I would love to see pictures if you could share, my car is summit white with orange/red stripes. I hear the color is inferno orange but my interior is red, so don’t know if I should get them done orange or red to match the interior.

I didn't get the factory stripes on my 2010 SS. I had a local shop(Auto Graphics in Manhiem,PA) put the stripes on my SS. They were installed in Sept. of 2009. They look as good as the day they were put on.

Thank you for sharing, I’m not too far from that area, about 45 minutes to an hour, is there someone there I should ask for, I’d like to get a quote from them as there is no hood body shops local other than dealerships. Thank you so much, your car is beautiful!

fact check me painted stripes were available as a 1000 dollar option.
the white stripes were painted and i LOVED THEM! the replacement car had black decals i disliked them so much i pealed them off. i shall be having white painted on again. I'm kinda liking no stripes for now.

Maybe painted was a dealer option, not a factory option to my knowledge. Originally vinyl rally stripes were applied at the dealership. GM then switched early on to factory install because of issues. That was the "bay" part of build process from the factory.

Customize the way you want. It's not factory. I'm more of a purist. But you do you. 2010 garage kept with factory rally stripes, no issues.

Stripe color should be inferno orange. That was the color option for the interior accent and/or stripes. Those oem stripes are probably no longer available. So make it the way you want.

I like it with the white and without. That looks like a pretty bad hit, glad you were ok. I see you're from Mooresville, my husband and I are planning to move down that area in a few years, it's so beautiful down there. We were looking at Troutman, Mooresville area. Thanks for sharing!
