I always try to park in no-man’s land, only because the door dinger is always looking for the closest spot they can get to the entrance. My wife will spend 10 minutes cruising the lot to make sure she found the spot with the lease amount of footsteps required.
Anyway I would, if it was in the back.

I was parked next to a pickup truck. When I came out, a classic parked next to me

But if I see some people who obviously take care of their car, even not a Camaro, I might try to park next to them if I have to park next to someone.

My disclaimer is that I'm not saying all people who drive V6's don't give a crap about their cars. I'm saying college students who didn't pay for their car don't give a crap about their cars.
I wouldn't park next to a V8 or especially a zl1 because they steal my thunder!

I park as far away as I can from other vehicles, but the ABM still attracts crowds almot 5 years later. (Even though it's a V-6 by choice)

My wife and I frequent a restaurant where one of the chefs has a silver ZL1, and he always parks towards the back of the lot. I generally park next to him; one night we came out, the chef had left and a black ZL1 had taken its place...
