Header install in DFW

Hello I was just curious on if anyone recommended the best shop for a header install in the dallas area? I am debating on doing the install myself unless it is too complicated so i am just wanting some input on where to go?

Definitely is something that can be done yourself with a little bit of patience but you will need to get it tuned afterward. If you decide not to do it yourself you should definitely take it to ADM in lewisville and get them to tune it for you afterwards!

I got stainless works and would honestly prefer to save money :( I like to do everything myself on my car but if the header install would be too complicated I could see it being difficult. I have all the necessary parts but I am wondering how high the jackstands need to raise the car in order to install it.

There are some tricks to this I would say about 2 foot on the stands And when you are doing the passenger side loosen up the eng mounts so you can lift the motor with a jack this will help the header slide in easier. You only have to lift it tell you see the power steering line stretch almost to were in looks like it will pop.

It's not that the install is complicated it's that the headers are heavy and awkward to handle when trying to line up correctly from under the car. Definitely a two man operation but several members have done them in their driveways. I would say be on the cautious side and remove your spark plugs so you don't accidentally break one other than that have fun!

Diffidently remove the plugs..and they will slide right up in there..no need to loosen motor mount or lift engine..I did mine in a gravel driveway. Took about 2 hours. The hardest part was lifting the car up high enough to have room to slide the headers in from bottom..If your really uncomfortable doing it yourself call Andy at ADM performance and he will get it done for you.

We can do it for you. Get you in and out before lunch. I don't really care to count how many header installs we have done over the years but the Camaro is one of the easiest out there. Compared to the GTO and Dodges, the Camaro is cake.

What could I be looking at for a header install price?

My 12 year old son did most of the header install while I held them up in place from underneath the car. I just removed engine cover(of course),spark plug wires and oil dipstick. Nothing complicated about that, but patience is required not to damage spark plugs that's all.
