Footwell lighting wiring ?

I'm thinking of doing the On/Off/On switch... Would this setup work:

First power: dome lighting
Second power: ABL lighting so its on when its dark (where's the best place to tap into?)

Also, being that there's two strips, is it best to tap one into the other's power/ground cables or tap them in seperately to the same power cable and seperate grounds?

Yeah but it be much easier to do the dome light then tap into the lighter port power under the console. You could put a switch in the circuit and have 'anytime' control.

....at least I think that would work.

I had a small issue with how i was attaching the male end of the T-Tap, i was gripping it too tight and cutting the tiny 18 gauge wire lol

Once i figured out what i did wrong it went pretty quick. The driver side one is working great with just the 3M adhesive but i have to use zipties on the passenger side as there is no long flat surface to stick it too.

Thanks again for all of the help!
