2015 aftermarket support
I purchased my wife a Crystal Red 2015 1LT with RS package. She's always wanted a Camaro (she's in her mid 50s) and kinda tired of my Mustang fixation most of my life. Been building, modding and racing Mustangs all my life. But, gotta keep her happy, and I admit the car is BEAUTIFUL!
First thing I started doing was research the aftermarket and I'm either looking in the wrong places or there just isn't much that has "2015" stamped on it. For her car, I'm thinking Cold Air Intake, nice catback with NO drone, and a tuner. Right now it appears only the Corsa is coming up no drone, some cold air kits are throwing CELs, and tuners? Where are they. Thanks for the help. Last Camaro I owned was an 82 Z28 CFI with 165hp. The salesman was telling me about the '16 model coming out soon, and I'm watching carefully as the new Mustang is butt ugly and I'll never ever consider buying one. |

You have the lfx engine, cannot use longtubes. What you said, is a good start. CAI, catback with magnaflo mufflers and HP tune.

Any aftermarket performance parts listed as 2014 or 2012+ (except some exterior parts) are compatible with the 2015 model year. Many vendors have not updated that info.
The Vitesse throttle controller will give your car a very noticeable improved response. I'd go Corsa catback , Cai brand intake and 93 octane if avail. Forget the ported throttle body for a 2015, waste of money IMO.

2012+ is LFX. Anything listed for 2012+ will work on the 2015 model. There have not been any changes on the engine and drivetrain since then. If you have any questions on specific parts do not hesitate to PM me or give us a call.

I'm going to do the Vmax ported throttle body for my 2015. There was a part # change for the 2015 TB though. I'm doing the RotoFab intake and axle back exhaust. MRT V2 seems to be the favored exhaust.

And you can't. The headers are integrated into the engine and therefore cannot be changed.

Good information folks, I appreciate this community's response and enthusiasm. Looks like the MRT and Corsa exhausts are front runners, will have to find some videos and get a feel for the sound.
Haven't yet found anything on the HP tuners and what they can provide, researching the Cold Air kits now... Imagine that grin she will have when it gets some volume in there... Last edited by boss281; 07-06-2015 at 12:52 PM. |
