I don't think Ford is making a direct competitor with this car... unless it's the Laguna Seca car. Did Ford ever build that for the public? But yeah, even the Laguna Seca car isn't even close.

Exactly what magazines have tested the 1LE and Boss back to back in the same article?

Anyways, I would guess 65k and this thing is going to decimate any other pony/muscle car on the track. It is actually nice to see all the R&D going into an all performance machine with few, if any, compromises.

Yes, the Leguna Seca was made in limited numbers. It was only around $50k. If this thing is $65k-$75k, I think that's too damn much. I understand it has a lot of high-end components, but you're getting into Z06 territory with that kind of cash!

Reading comprehension? I said Boss vs. 1LE...not ZL1.

The Boss is old news, not competitive with the ZL1 or Z/28 and maybe not even the 1LE. It is also no longer produced.

The competition for the Z/28 hasn’t been announced yet. I suspect GM is leading the way in anticipation of a better performing, track oriented Mustang. Or maybe the Z/28 is so unique it will go unanswered through the release of the 6th gen Camaro in 2015 (MY 2016).

Meant 1LE, the boss did go against the ZL1 in Motor trend, now, I ask again..........

And if it exists, would love to read it, 1LE was my favorite Camaro, now it is this, very impressed.

Given the Z28's LS7 engine, ceramic brakes, Recaro seats, reduced weight, tires, etc., it's clearly designed to be a serious track car for serious track enthusiasts. It's not designed to be an everyday street driver or cruiser. It has a very specific track focus and will not be a Camaro for the masses. I wouldn't be surprised if the Z28's MSRP is over $70,000. Remember that the 1LE is the Boss LS competitor. The Z28 will be in a class of its own.
