OMG the gearing is too low? Sheeeeeet when my buddy and I go at it he has a 5.0 track pack jesus now that thing is geared low he's half way through 3rd when I'm in second, with the hammer down I shift from 2nd-3rd at 80mph that doesn't sound like real low gearing to me lol. I average 17mpg with 426hp to the wheels, almost 500hp at the crank and still getting 17 average as 90% is city driving is amazing to me. Pick up a new sti 4cyl that gets worse mileage lol. Maybe a Cruze Eco is more up your alley.

I wasn't that interested in getting a Camaro until I read about the 1LE package. I was looking for something to make into a track day toy so this fit the bill nicely. I am still upgrading selected components but the 1LE package is a great start plus it has a warranty.

The OP complained about that car from Day 1 over in the Canada section. He is just looking to get sympathy. Boo friggin' hoo. The roads in Montreal are not the smoothest by any stretch of the imagination, so I do not know how he did not realize that the car would have a perfectly smooth ride.

Funny part...he ORDERED the car. It wasn't just sitting on the lot and he picked it up on impulse.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=288707

He knew about what he was getting into and now all he does is wine and complain. Sorry pal...you are not getting any sympathy from a website FULL of people who love their 1LE.

Bottom line, you should know what you are buying. Clearly not the car for you, but you should have realized this before you bought it.

I'm just saying let him blow off steam a little, everyone needs to vent sometimes.

I appreciate your attitude, it is truely refreshing in an otherwise harsh world full of people ready to jump on you for anything.

That being said, all the posts in response to the OP are matching his tone and if he wasnt prepared for such responses he should not have written the OP as he did in a section FULL of 1LE lovers.

In the end of the day we are all responsible for our actions and most of us are adults here, so sympathy for the OP is misplaced here. Dont spend 40K+ on something you know nothing about and then blast the product like its a piece of crap. If he knew what he bought, he would know its a car designed to be a track beast at the cheapest cost possible, not a Cadillac.

Missed this post... the 1LE is a great car but yes it can be harsh on the street, especially where I am with broken pavement and potholes galore. But that comes with the territory. Magnetic dampers would be the best of both worlds, wish I could afford them.

And also, 1st is annoyingly short. Haven't gotten mine to the track but the close ratio transmission is probably pretty nice there, but on the street, it sucks.

Even the new caddies don't ride like a caddy.
