How to clean extremely dirty wheels?

Is there any specific product or technique to use to clean these suckers? The dirt is caked on there pretty dang hard (inside of the wheel by the rotor) from all this rain and what not here in TX.

I've let it build up for about 2 months and I'm paying the price for it now.

What do?

Check out this video on our Wheel cleaner.
I might add no matter what wheel cleaner you decide to go with make sure your wheels are cool to the touch before cleaning.
The Turbo stick will do you a good job on your barrels.

+1 for Adam's deep wheel cleaner. Best wheel cleaner I've used.

I wouldn't say it smells good, I'd say it smells better then some of the other wheel cleaners on the market. They all have an odor to them. I haven't used Adams new version yet, so can't comment on it's scent. The old Deep Wheel Cleaner smells like cherry sucret lozenges.

If you don't have a cordless drill, for a turbo stick, Adams also has a wheel woolie, it's very high quality. I've had mine for a year and used it over 50 times, I do detailing on the side.

It still performs as new with no issues, very high quality.

I was surprised they changed the Deep Wheel cleaner, it worked really well, and unlike Brown Royal, I didn't feel like vomiting when using it.

#1 Adam's Wheel Cleaner
#2 Daytona Speed Master Wheel Brush

You'll get splashed with the brush, get over it, you'll be fine!

With really bad wheels, brushes are a must. I've got the complete set of original brushes from Adam's and also one from Autogeek to get inside the wheel.

Typically I use an APC, with a dedicated wheel cleaner and let it soak on each wheel for about a minute or two max. Then I add some car shampoo for added lubricity to clean each wheel. Since I'm kind of OCD, it takes me about 10-15 minutes per wheel, then an extra few minutes per tire and even more time to clean the inside of the fenders thoroughly.

You will definitely be happy with Adam's products.

A good way to keep the wheels in better condition if you're not able to wash them often enough, clean them once really well, then put some sealant and wax on them. This will make it much easier to clean next time and protect them for several months, depending on how much you drive the car.

Sonax full effect cleaner. Just spray, let it dwell for a few minutes then hose off. For really dirty wheels, you need to use a brush.

+1 for Adams... Once you clean them you can always clay the wheels to get all contaminants out. I will be doing this and Opticoating the wheels soon.

Wonder what the wheel cleaner will do with powder coated wheels since that's what I have. Some areas are very rough and clay baring it worked a little. Still some paint overspray left that won't get off.
