285/40/18 tires

Has anyone ran 285/40/18 tires on an 18x9 inch rim? The factory recommendation is not larger than 275/40/18.

10mm is so small difference that i would run it. I have 285/50/18 on a 9.5" wide wheel, but that is again so small difference on the wheel width that it shouldn't matter.
