Did the Car have a bunch of mods? I don't see why he'd think he'd even be close unless it modded.

No, his is stock. He even knows the changes I've done to mine. He keeps saying it's so much faster than his 1981 Corvette that had a slightly modded 350 in it. I told him I have at least 130 more horsepower, but he said he has me on power to weight. We'll see.

LOL of course his high 13 second 93 feels SOOOO much faster than a mid 15 second 81. But it's still slow. I'd think with your car the way it sits today. You would be tettering on a high 12-low 13. I used to think my 79 Z28 was fast once apon a time. Til I took it to the track and ran a 15something with a headers and a cam and a bunch of other stuff. This should be fun..........For you.

He was over here yesterday and we sized up each other's cars. His tires are old and dry rotten, so he's hesitant to run it hard. I get my new (to me) wheels & tires (and sway bars) put on Wednesday. Hopefully my old wheels will fit his car and we can find some empty road to settle this.

i think i would wait for him to get new tires first.nothing like a blown tire at 100+mph to ruin a little fun...nice looking vette though.
