I did compare the two and the OE fitment list does show our cars under the 100Y and doesn't show anything under the 92Y. If this makes a huge difference to anyone that's bought the 92's I apologize. But it is a great price as long as they don't handle much different.

Ya I went ahead and cancelled my order. They are ll or light load tires and my zl1 takeoffs are sl according to the net. Different weight raring was approximately 1300 for ll and 1800 for sl each tire.

I just chatted with Tire Rack this morning and they told me that the 92Y tires exceed the load rating for the Camaros. They said they will be absolutely fine and I will notice no difference.

Yes the 92Y will be just fine for street driving, i wouldn't think twice about doing a track day on them as well, no one is going to be driving those to their limit. I just looked at Silverstate's website and either "92Y" or "100Y" would work for what i need out of them. Just throwing this out there. I have 3 tires dated 2015 and 1 dated 2013, unfortunately i didn't catch this last time i bought tires. The point is that i recently got back from running Silverstate and ran the 155 class, which means we spent most of our time at 160MPH and topped out at 182MPH. These tires are fantastic and i will buy nothing but them, and only the 100Y's.
I could run them again as they are in superb shape as i keep them inside, but with those speeds i want fresh rubber, and this time i will be on top of the dates.

This means the new G3 will be in stock soon with more sizes than the two they have in stock for the new 1LE.
FYI..$672 shipped at tire rack.

I did the same exact thing back in April. I wanted the Firestone's (back ordered til God knows when), but I ended up ordering the GY Eagle G2's (which I wanted in the first place). All 4 were shipped to my office for $600.00. 285/35/20

Since my fronts are still pretty good but the rears are getting a little low I just ordered 6 tires. I will replace the backs then by the time the rears are gone again I will put on another 4. Now I just have to find a good place to burn off the ones I have now before I have the new ones installed .

I'm the second owner of my car. I bought if from a BMW dealership since my wife works for the auto group that owns that store. They put a new set of tires on when I bought it since it was for my wife. I never paid attention to the 92y vs 100y thing so I went and looked at them last night and they are 92y that's on there now. I've been driving on them for almost 18 months and have put 10,000 miles on them. To me they work great once I get some heat in them and have not had any issues. |

I've ordered from Tire Rack before when I had my Titan 4x4 so my login was still good. I just had to enter a new credit card # but it went right through. They shipped today and they emailed me the tracking #'s already.
