Not trying to thread jack but Ill post mine. Idk how the QTP set up works but summit set up is dumb pipes that have closed covers that you remove and attach the electric valve. This allows you to go between manual and electric when you want.

I paid 100 at a meineke to get my dump pipes installed.

Im handy with car stuff so the electric pieces I installed myself. Just involves running wires and providing power to the switch and valves.

Yeah I'm not so handy with the electrical stuff. Thanks for the info though.

Youre welcome.

And dude you should totally learn, basic stuff like this is REALLY easy!

All you have to do is attach the ground wire to a ground and the power wire you just splice into an existing one. Splicing is extremely easy.

You can really save yourself a lot of dough modding your car and its really easy and basic stuff. Youll feel more proud too when you know you installed the entire thing yourself.

Yep, welding and electrical. Just drop it off, pick it up when its ready. They mounted my switch right underneath the left side of my dash. So you can't see it, but its very accessible. I love mine. Its going to be great at cruise-ins, car shows and at the drag strip. If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask. I will post my video this weekend.

And just plain fun when ricers pull up next to you and rev. Hit your switch, pop them open and rev, shuts them up REAL quick.
Definitely WAYY more hidden fun with electric cut outs than youd think.

Ok here's a question. Is there a way to have them work like the ones on the Z06, where they open at a certain RPM?

That would be the ultimate bad ass.

And Camaro Freak- enough already, let's have the vids!

Idk about QTP but summit ones open almost instantly. So you can do it manually and press the open button as you hit say ~2k rpms.

A system could definitely be made using an aftermarket tachometer to regulate the open + close switch, but at that point it would cost a lot and probably hasnt ever been done. It wouldnt sound right either because the valves on a Corvette arent as much louder than stock than cut outs typically are.

My uncle has that exhaust on his Corvette and they got stuck to fully open. I would imagine there has to be alot going on for those things to just slam open/shut. I wouldnt trust those things.

Do you have an aftermarket catback? This question i important because that would mean you make more power with cut outs than a cat back, which is what I think.
