I'll try get my video/pics up soon. I took a video of a touring lap. Gary (one of the more seasoned members) took a few of us newbies out in an Avalanche and walked us through the turns (what kind of turn it was, how to hit it and what gear we would probably be in). This course was pretty tough for a beginner especialy with a big car. The Porsch group and the Lotus probably would have been a little more suited for the tight corners. Although, in the afternoon they opened up a few of the tight corners to make a few longer straights, but I only got up to about 105 mph. I broke too late in a hairpin and ended up in the dirt. Everything was fine. I was very suprised at the abuse that I was able to dish out and the car took everything like it was no big deal. Great course, I'm hoping to get back there again.

Pics from last weekend at: http://www.racersphoto.com/p239011850/h34760a45#h34760a45

My car is in #4 and #14. dreamer2430 is in #5 and #10.

Looking to set up a Camaro only private track day this summer/early fall. $2200 for 9 cars. Shouldn't be too hard if there is some interest from Tucson and Sierra Vista. Send me a PM if interested.

Disclaimer - I just had a blast out there. I don't work for them or anything. Can't even afford their base membership, but want to keep using their facility before it gets too exclusive. They are first class and eventually it will be a members-only playground.

I'm jealous, glad that both of you enjoyed it.
My first Test-and-Tune for the upcoming autocross season is this Sunday in my neck of the woods.

Please tell me all of those drivers were smart enough not to tear up any of their rides!

Supposedly, a Miata hit the only wall on the track but was able to drive away. These guys are about safety first and foremost. We were in the "spode class" but got treated with respect. Look at the pics. A lot of cars were in the 6 figure range, but all of them were down to earth.

Just tried my first attempt with this Web 2.0 stuff. Posted up a couple videos:
and

These are just from the introductory laps as they opened up the faster part of the course. My wife had trouble taping at speed. Couldn't hang on and hold the new handheld camcorder at speed. Definitely amatuer but it gives you an idea of the challenges on the course. Vidcam mount or 4/6 pt harnesses required. LOL - what did I get into? Just starting to learn the road thing, but I can see expensive mods on the horizon. Of course watching a Camaro on ESPN in the Rolex Car series is not helping.

Try to catch Speed Channel's Battle of the SuperCars. Some teasers are on YouTube and some of it was filmed at IMR.
