I'm wanting to do 1SS + 1LE + Heritage Grill, here's hoping that will be basic enough to be under 40k. Otherwise, I might have to save for another year and get a 2014 1LE instead. Very anxious for them to get pricing and details announced so I can plan it out.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I really want a 2SS but would still be happy with a 1SS. If a new metallic blue is announced and I get enough info that I won't have to wait too long past April 2013 to get it I'll probably have enough saved for the 2SS by then. I have to have RS and NPP either way. Besides waiting on pricing I want to see some hype from GM in the form of videos like they did with the ZL1. Wheres the hype?! Challenging the Boss LS on paper can only hold us off for so long.

The assumption at this point is that the 1SS/1LE will be under $40k. Making the 2SS/1LE low to mid $40s depending on options. That is why they are saying its more than a $2k upgrade. Unless you are planning no a 1SS/1LE.

The assumption is with the 1LE package itself. GM has already said the 1SS 1LE will start under 40k. Still trying to figure out what under means.

I agree but the post I referred to said $2k more than his $37k 2SS/RS. Just wanted to make sure he knew the 2SS/1LE will most likely not be under $40k

I am anxiously awaiting pricing as well!

I'm assuming a 1SS/1LE is going to sticker for $39,000 - $39,999. If it was going to be $38,000 - $38,999, they would have announced the 1LE was going to cost less than $39,000. I hope I'm wrong, but I think my 1LE will have a sticker price of over $46,000.

Same breaks as SS. I was thinking(hard) about this car before I bought my ZL1. If they say under 40k, with the dest. fee it will be 40k or a little more. Because of lower back problems(im an old fart) I wanted heated seats(SS2). I would want to go ahead and get the halos so thats the RS as well. So if you take the price diff. between your base SS1 and add the SS2,RS to it youll have the 1LE,SS2,RS. Which will prob. be around 47k-49k. Now before I get attacked, I know some of you "true race car" guys will say you dont want all the extra stuff, thats great, it will probably be around 40-41k. But for what I wanted, I went with the Z. And Im SO GLAD I DID!!!From what has been released about the car it sounds great. But it will prob. be late Sep. early Oct. before you will see one(Hope Im wrong)!!! Whoever gets one first, please post pics ASAP!! Id love to see and here about it!!
Also, is there anybody else that was a young man in the 80s and early 90s that ever thought they would hear somebody complaining that a 426HP car was under powered !!!
