Window rolls down after rolling it up ???

So I just got a (new to me) 2011 2LT/RS and lately when I roll up the windows they will roll down automatically to about a 1/4 of the way down . Does it need to be re-indexed? Just a guess ...

Yea probably just need to be re-indexed. Check your owners manual. Also a lot of post on here about this.

Mine does the same thing. Got a new window motor, it fixed it for a while now it's happening again.

Check where the window meets the weather stripping. Sometimes mine comes loose a little and the window catches it causing it to go back down. Usually I get a message on the DIC at the same time it happens. If that doesn't work you most likely need to check the alignment on the glass as it is getting under a bind which causes this to happen.

The only time it happens to me (and mind you it's not every time I do it) is when I park roll my windows up with the auto-up and turn my car off right as they hit the top...if I don't turn the key until they're set in place they don't roll back down.

Yep that has happened to me a couple times too. I guess it's a glitch in the software. If I wait and make sure it's completely up before shutting the car off or I shut the car off first and let the retained accessory power operate the window then I have no issue.

This happens to me also, mostly on the passenger side. Not very often though. I thought it was something related to the tint that I had put on, but I have seen other posts about it. Not to big of a deal though. If you hold the button for up it stays every time. At least it does for me.

Its when your window rolls up and automatically and feels resistance against the rubber, it thinks something is there such as a finger and rolls back down. Happened to on me 350z when I cleaned the very top portion of the window. Just apply a little tiny tiny bit of lubricant thats safe for rubber and it will be fine.

Try silicone lube. my old 2 door BMW used to need it done every month or else this would happen. could be out of alignment or sensor problem too

My 2011 did something similar and the whole regulator had to be replaced (twice)...the motor mount screw receiver tears out. I forget exactly what the window actually did or does, but it ends up rolled 1/4 of the way down no matter what you do

I have the same issue but only happens once in a while, the easy fix is: pull only halfway the button, don't let it go automatically by itself.

Will apply the lube to the rubber molds and see if it ever happens again.

^^^^^ this exactly. They have a safety thing about them that when the window goes up and senses that there is resistance anywhere in the rubber trim or anything stopping the window from going up, it will automatically go back down so as to not damage anything, as mentioned put a little lube of some sorts on the rubber trim that the window slides into.
