Zinger is getting a 5th gen

Hey C5, I am getting dangerously close to buying a 5th gen Camaro. I will have a ton of questions during these next few weeks and was hoping the mods and the community would allow this thread to stay so i can keep all of my questions in one thread. I do understand the "search" function would likely answer alot of the questions but this is a forum so lets use it as such

The Camaro I am looking at is a 2010 IOM 2SS LS3...approx 50,000kms. Looks very well taken care of and I believe it to be bone stock.

1. How do I know forsure it has RS package? - I see the emblem on front grill says SS and it is red. I also see a 4pack of small gauges in front of stick. Front headlights seem to show a circle inside them. Is that enough info to confirm it is a SS/RS?

2. Lets say DynoSteve tunes my car after header/cai work, can I still use a throttle controller? I say this as wife may drive from time to time and I would like to be able to throttle her down perse when it is her driving.

3. No matter what wheels I choose to go with are the offsets I read about consistent. I mean, if i went with ZL1 reps or Rohana do i still order the stock offsets? I am not sure if I being clear here..sorry.

Thats it for now, thanks for playing C5.

1.
Yes it seems as though it's a 2SS/RS

Halo headlights, red SS emblems, darker tail lamps are all sign of an RS package.

4 gauge cluster, premium sound and leather interior tells you it's a 2SS

Did MY 2010's come with the backup sensor or did they first appear on late build 2010's and after? What about the under hood GM Performance badging?

Yeah, the IOM i love, but, not with the stock wheels so that will be more money. But this care seems wicked clean and well looked after.

Also, I want to acknowledge that I understand all things being equal getting a 12 or 13 would be best but this 10 is in my budget and I cannot keep waiting and saving.

you talking about the vitesse throttle controller? that has nothing to do with your tune... it just manipulates the accelerator pedal signal. you can add/remove it and it doesn't affect the tune. So yes, you can use it.

1. Yes sounds like RS package - either that or a clone with aftermarket parts. Best way to tell would be to find the build sheet under the carpet in the truck (that's where mine is on a 2015)

2. No idea - goodluck bro lol

3. I just recently ordered wheels and had this same question. I worked with three Camaro5 sponsors and all of them were amazing at helping me order the perfect offset with the perfect hub spacer, if needed. I highly recommend checking out PKautodesign, n4sw.com, and extremewheels and their Camaro5 salesman Mike Betts. Goodluck!

Confirmed and proven 100% accurate.

The tune just compliments the Throttle Controller and visa-versa.

PM me your VIN, I can verify if it's and RS positively. I can also give you an RPO list and warranty work done.

Imo, the only things this car will need cosmetically for my taste is wheels (thinking rohana or zl/1le style), front splitter maybe and rear spoiler - black, black, and black. Then it is done looks wise for me.
