For those with squeaky Brakes

I have 12,000 miles and I went in for an oil change today. I asked them to take a look at the brakes because they still squeak braking at low speeds. After 20 min they give me a print out that states;

CONDITION

"Some customers may comment on hearing a squeak noise from the front brakes upon brake apply."

CORRECTION

Replace the front brake pads with replacement kit, etc...

So they are replacing with brand new pads.

So if you still having brake squeak, you may be entitled to new pads under warrenty.

Mine were embarrassingly bad the first week. but now that I'm coming up on week 3, I completely forgot about them, they've stopped squeaking.

I had pads replaced and then replaced again with ceramics. Have not had the new ones with the roller skates on them. They are going to replace my rears with ceramics and hope that works. Brake dust is so much better with ceramics!

Can you or someone please post the TSB number? I search several sites and haven't found any corresponding TSB. Thanks.

Early cars up to around car number 46,000 or so had weights attached to the brembos to counter vibration. newer cars have a different solution that has two big weights attached to the top of the caliper that looks like skate wheels as apposed to the previous weights that look like wheel balancing weights.

I thought those were wear indicators. I figured they would get closer and closer as the pads wear down.
