Bad news and good news..........bad news is my transmission is starting to slip; on the downshifts you can hear it 'clunking' (it does not 'clunk' all the time, it is infrequent). Not sure if this is due to a low transmission fluid level. I had my chevy dealership drain the transmission and refill it after the trans cooler was installed approximately 6 weeks ago; however, I wonder if they realized the trans fluid capacity increased and instead they just followed the GM guidelines on the amount of trans fluid for a 6L50E trans drain.
I also believe I still have a vacuum leak. After I drive and put inferno in park it sounds like the engine is 'struggling to breathe'. The rpms go up and down and the boost gauge fluctuates between -17 to -21 psi. This occurs for about 10-15 seconds then returns to a normal idle. This has been an on and off issue since I was last in JE. They conducted a vacuum leak test and nothing, they also changed my spark plugs; however, now it occurs all the time.
Good news is I have an appointment this Thursday; install the LSD rear, recalibrate the ecu, change the oil, conduct a vacuum leak test and discuss my options on the transmission.

Did not get to that. Next year I plan on doing a trans swap, probably a 4L80E. I'm just praying she holds together when the block is built. I will have the trans drained again when they build the block!

*correction it is not 'clunking' on the downshifts, its more like on occasion the gear gets caught.

Cut off the metal brackets, remounted the AEM boost solenoid, rerouted the boost lines and made a bracket for the oil separator. Just want to pull out the a/c line and that side would look really clean under the hood. The strut tower will be painted when the BCS racing crash bars arrive.

I finally took the plunge.....I had Jacob over at JE Import Performance delete my A/C lines and ducting after he finished the oil change and the alignment. Next month when the block is getting built I will have the A/C compressor and condenser removed as well as get rid of the power steering cooler.

A/C lines and ducting - 7.6 lbs
A/C compressor - 13.2 lbs
A/C condenser - 6.4 lbs

Dropped Inferno off at 301garage today to have the strut tower cleaned up and painted as well as the fusebox cover and engine cover. The BCS racing crash bars are not in yet so they will be painted at another time.

Just weighed the open 2.92 diff and it came to 56lbs! So I added 34lbs to the rear just by going with the 3.27 LSD.

Deleting the AC setup nearly offsets that gain. Plus 8lbs with the LSD addition and the AC system delete. It will be well worth the 8lbs with the higher gear ratio and the dual wheel launch. Good work Danny!
