I got a night fury cam, long tube headers, K+n CAI, and its finally time to go forced induction. I was looking at the procharger kit with the D1SC or an ECS kit. I'm looking to spend around 7-8k. I was wondering what would be the best for around 650-700 rwhp. I'm located in New York if anyone can recommend a shop that could meet those prices as well.

I can't make any recommendation on the Procharger, but I do own an ECS equipped 2010. With your mods, you can hit your goal for sure. You will need to address the fuel delivery side of the equation. My car put down 750RWHP on 12psi with all of the supporting mods (manual trans car). ECS did the install. I have about 20,000 miles on the setup now...but still no passes at the track :(

Either kit will allow you to reach your goals. I have a Procharger D1SC and be mindful, you are definitely "paying for a name brand" when you need parts or upgrades.

Toss a coin. Both will get you there. l could be wrong, but I believe the ECS option will be cheaper. You still need fuel, and other supporting mods, so dont think your done at just the kit. Even if you choose to not do the supporting mods, you will eventually end up having to do them, horsepower will always find the weakest link.

Aren't most of the kits close to 7K? I would think the avg install is $1400 with tune and if you have to address fuel, probably another $500 min for parts only I would wager...

If you could locate a used/take-off kit, that may help you get your pricing (with the fueling sytem upgrade). I think the Procharger, if you buy it, is around $6500. Not sure what a shop + install would net you.

Not sure how much cheaper the ECS is. May save some there...

Agree with 1KillerSS -- supporting mods are going to be an eventual need, but if you know that going in and plan for it, you'll be glad you did... You'll LOVE going FI...

It is stock bottom end for now. I got a quote for the D1SC and it was 8k for everything tuned and installed. I think I'll need to upgrade the fuel though. Thanks for the input guys. I'm trying to get an ecs quote now.

That makes sense for the D1SC. ($6500 + $1500 installed probably a safe tune). Sounds like you're on the right track! Fuel delivery is going to be very important...

I got a quote of $5300 for the ecs tuner kit, $5900 for the full kit. That'll give you an idea of the cost. Add another $2k for zl1 fuel pump, complete install, and tune.

+ADM FPCM... that is tuned to work with the ZL1 pump...

I might do that and then use the extra money to buy better fuel. Thanks.

Yea, I'm looking at the tuner kit as well. Just bought the ZL1 fuel pump and ADM fpcm and will be going with FIC1000s. Here's the guy you want to buy the fpcm from, great price!
