So, I'm going to go ahead and point out the obvious here...by the roof look on that last pic why don't they just give us T-tops like they used to? I love the idea of a moonroof, don't get me wrong but T-tops freakin rock!

I think the newest things in those pics' are GMHTP's watermarks. I don't think any of those haven't been on here for a while now.

I think that X-pipe is going to be a tuning tool because I know GM went from an H-pipe on the Z06 to an X-pipe on the ZR1 and the tuning changed the exhaust note a bit. Maybe we're going to get some pretty aggressive exhaust sound from the factory

I don't think, structurally, T-tops would work out. If you look at the roof like a square, consider with T-tops, you're cutting off two sides of the square and replacing them with one down the middle. You loose a lot in torsion and stiffness because there is no longer a box. That's why boxed frames are stronger than C-channel frames. Yeah, I love T-tops too, but it ain't gonna' happen, and in this case, the trade-off is worth it, IMVHO. I won't have to add subframe connectors this time

Thanks for posting those.

I think I'll head over to the bookstore tonight and pick up a copy of 'GM High Tech Performance'.

Yes. This image is from the V6. In fact, just look at the pictures with the brakes in them, if they don't say BREMBO, the car or drawing is the V6.

those were the pics taken by my buddy Kevin at Spring Mountain in Nevada this summer that GM allowed him to release - and others could use, provided they gave Kevin credit - so we could finally see some decent SS pics.

Here's his album -

To be honest, i just looked at the engine, lol i was just suprised that the 6 was getting an x-pipe and true duels, i heard that they would be single that splits to two, but thats GREAT! I LOVE GM!!! Homerun!
