Vinyl Rally Stripe Installation Question...

I have just recieved my vinyl's in the mail, looks like quite a task... read around the forum about installation. Think I have a good understanding on installation. Just trying to see if anyone else has them, and personally installed them. I would like to hear some pointers, and tips.

Thanks!
~Tank

I have installed vinyl gills, headlamp covers and taillight covers. I have seen enough air bubbles in a 2 x 3 inch square area to feel this is good advice...

Stripes

I had mine put on when I received the car in August. They did a poor job. They are already starting to chip, and come up. I am having Whiteside paint mine on as we speak. I did not think they would last forever, but I did not think it would be this soon.

Spray the car down with a buncha water before you install em...do it in the shade so the water doesn't dry out too fast.

Throw em on! Much easier than you would think. Work the bubbles out from the center out and bam.

Start on the rear deck to get your confidence.

Easy day. I need to start taking pics of this stuff. Everyone pays bookoo bucks for this. Be cool to see peeps doing them on their own.

Best of luck, can't wait to see em WBT!

I hear ya. If I had a covered area to keep the grass/dust out I would gladly do it myself. Don't mind paying someone a reasonable amount of money to get it right and free my time and frustration for other projects.

I initially wanted to go the painted on route but everywhere I turned I ran into a brick wall. Did some decision making and decided to go with the vinyl stripes and budget the rest on cam and headers for the future.
