Muffler delete

Would you recommend doing a muffler delete on a 11 ss vert?

FWIW, I certainly would!
Made my car sound more like a Muscle Car, although if you have an Auto (L99) you will hate the AFM!

I did and my car sounds much better... However, if you're an automatic and have AFM, you'll get a terrible sound when the AFM engages. The Range device will cure that.

We are assuming that you have a stock exhaust (from the axle back)

Muffler delete was the very first thing I did. It sounds amazing. I tend to speed a little bit and cruising at 75-80 there's some drone.
Also if you use the paddle shifters, the AFM will not kick in. It does sound terrible in 4-cylinder mode with the muffler delete. But I love using the paddle shifters anyway.
Now, I have a tune on it and simply disabled the AFM completely and love my muffler delete.
I bought mbrp, it was pricey at $350 but it is black and easy bolt-on so I did it.
If you look at their website they have before and after videos of a Camaro with a muffler delete. Check it out

Yep. Even my wife said that it sounds like it should, now that the mufflers are gone.

Is it recommended to leave the resonator and delete the mufflers?

I removed the two 'trash can' mufflers at the tail end of the exhaust pipes. They welded in a straight piece on each side, re-attaching the factory chrome tips. I didn't mess with anything closer to the engine. I don't get any drone at any speed, although others have said they do.
I like it the way it is now.

Thanks. I bought the Mbrp cat back for the L99 with both resonator and mufflers. I get some drone and thinking about removing the rear mufflers.

As soon as the weather breaks up here in Rochester, I'm going to have Solo Performance in Kenmore, NY delete my stock mufflers and go with this:

I have those on my LS3. I love the sound. No drone at all.
Please tune out AFM though.
