Question for 2LT/2SS owners, re: subwoofer?

Did any of you bother to get it? It seems to me that with the Boston Acoustics speakers, unless you will be really cranking the music it seems to be a bit of an overkill to me.

Theres only one or two people on this forum who have it, check out the audio forum for more info. IMO while it fits nice it can be done cheaper and better.

subwoofer is an overkill....If you play with the "tone" button on the stereo and adjust the bass, you'll find it VERY sufficient to produce the bass you need. At least that is how I have done it.

If your just listening for a thump your not listening to music anyway. The BA system is more than sufficient for music listeners.

Takes up a lot of room in the trunk, makes using the drop-down rear seat very difficult.

I just have the stock stereo and jesus why would you need more bass?
I have mine on 3 and I feel like people in a 2 mile radius can feel it coming (dependant on what I'm listening to of course) but still...WAY more then enough on stock....

I saw one on ebay and thought about it, but with the BA speakers I just don't see the need. The system I have is plenty for me.

Don't know why I expect Camaro owners---

but I do. There's enough freakin noise in the world. You don't need thgump thump from you stereo speakers. I have crappy hearing due to artillery shells blasing my ears but at least that wasn't recreational.
