Is 72,000 miles on a 2011 2ss A6 too many?

I know that its not usually how many miles are on the car but rather how the miles were put on the car. However, I have the chance to buy a pretty loaded White 2SS RS A6 for around $17,5K. First off, it seems like a pretty good deal to me (depending on carfax report and visual inspection) In short anyone have any input for me on mileage and such for this car/motor? I know the LS motors are pretty known for being virtually bullet proof...... Thanks!

They KBB at $30K private party. I purchased my 11 2SS/RS about two months ago with 11K miles for $20K.

Seems like you got a hell of a deal....Only reason I am considering this car is because of the price being about the same for what I bought my V6 for. Just wondering if 72k miles is too many for this car.

I wouldn't ever purchase a car like this with that many miles, but that's just me. r_hester14 got one with 11k and for only few more thousand bucks, I'd keep looking for a better deal. You alao have to factor in the tire life, brake pads, rear differential oil, tranny oil and I'm sure many more things with that high of milage.

I've got 72k on my '11 SS A6. I engage in "spirited driving" nearly every day, still runs like a top. I need to get my tranny fluid replaced though.

sounds a little high in miles ,but the price is good .2011 2ss 20,000 miles go for about $26-$28,000. That's about what I paid last winter

IMO and only IMO, that is way to many miles for a 4 year old car. Is it CPO? Are you getting it from a chevy dealer, private seller or something else? I wouldnt get any used car from anything but the cars manufacturer dealer. At least that way you could get a cpo and knowledge that they inspected the car. Like I said, just my opinion. Hope all works out for ya.

Deals like what the guy above said of 11k miles for only a few thousand more are super rare and I'd call BS on that. $17,500 seems like a good price considering what I've seen in my searches. What has to be remembered is that 2010-2011 Camaro's that have seen daily driver duties are going to have around 60k plus miles going by the 12000 mile a year average.

I worry more about garage queens than cars that saw daily duty

Yes the car has a lot of miles
But if this car would be a garage queen the mileage would not matter as much.
The most important thing is how does the body and paint look, the seats and interior.
The brake pads and fluids are not that important because you are probably going to replace them anyway.
Now if this is a daily driver you would have to think this car will have a lot of miles in a few years and wont be worth that much

The owner off that 72K must have used it as a DD , nothing wrong with that , as long he did the normal maintenance
At 72K these engines have more than double left in it without any issues , just take a good look at it drive it and listen to what the car is telling you
For the price , you are getting a good deal assuming that it is well kept

I just got my 2013 2SS RS fully loaded except nav with 10k miles for 29,200. I thought I did well- especially since I wasn't budging on color and it was one of a handful within 300 mikes.
