Got calipers powdercoated, questions on install

Got a set of calipers powder coated and I am going to be putting them on shortly. My question is this... Can the pads just be moved over to the new calipers or should I be putting some anti squeal stuff on them? I am assuming they have metal shims, is there anything special I need to do to ensure they don't squeal or anything stupid?

I just replaced my original OEM calipers with some CTS-V calipers I had powder coated Corvette yellow.

Since I had Hawk low dust pads with less than 5K miles on them, I just swapped pads from the old calipers to the new. I did reuse some of the hardware from the old calipers to mount the pads on the new.

The only issue I ran into is the rear ZL1 calipers are notched at the lower mounting hole to fit around the rear cooling plate behind the rotor. My friend who helped me install the calipers was able to dremel out a similar notch on the rear CTS-V calipers.

Mine are still stock ZL1 calipers so I shouldn't have that issue, I am just wondering about the pads specifically. I plan to reuse the brake hardware since I have such low mileage anyway.

My friend and I didn't do anything special to the pads. We just moved them from the old to the new. No issue with noise thus far.

Wow, that looks great.
Same question, who did them?
Did you provide the decals?

Tony

Same with TPH. I'm pretty sure Mike isn't doing them anymore, right?

Did you do an exchange or down your car for awhile?
