Need Wideband, Dashlogic or Aeroforce?

All of the additional bells and whistles are fine, but all I really want is an accurate and permanent Air/Fuel Ratio display, and yes it will be used for remote tuning purposes as well when it is called for, like when I'll be data-logging and monitoring AFR after cam install.

I do like the Dashlogic's audible chime feature....

I own a SCT X4, but I did not buy the provision that it needs for wideband data-logging. I think that it would be best to just buy a really nice permanent gauge?

Thoughts/recommendations?

Buy the analog input hardware you need to log the wideband and get a good permanent gauge. You'll be happy with yourself after you have forgotten that you spent all that money.

I was afraid that you would say that!

Done, I'll order the analog input hardware for the SCT asap.

As for permanent gauge, still on the fence though...I think I will go Dashlogic just for the audible chime capabilities.

Basically without logging your AFR directly with your handheld, you're going to have a much longer tuning process.

Definitely spend the extra cash, as for AFR, I like my Innovate digital. I keep the output from the wideband in my glove box for datalogging.

Is there any particular reason you chose Innovate?

Yeeeeears back, I used the Innovate LM-1(remember those clunky units? ), and was quite pleased with it, it did the job back then..

One thing is for sure, and this may very well mark the first time I will bad mouth a product on this forum, but I am staying away from Dashlogic .

They have zero phone support as in literally none, and their email sales guy was about as useless as they get, dare I say, borderline insulting.. I mean, I'm almost tempted to show on here our email chit chatter, but that_would_not_be_my_style. Anyways, I digress, the hell with Dashlogic, customer service is more important to me than the product itself!

Sooooo, I'm shopping around now for a more traditional wideband gauge for AFR measurements, in order to catalog WOT with my SCT X4, although I'm not keen on cockpit clutter.

That said, I guess a AFR gauge with excellent aesthetics is now paramount. Any recommendations would be appreciated, AEM, Innovate, Aeroforce....I have 4 weeks left to make a nice choice.

FWIW, I will be using the secondary O2 sensor bung hole for a permanent installation of the wideband O2 sensor, since I'm using off-road pipes.

I also had experience with the LM-1 when I worked as a mechanic years ago. I bought the Innovate because it for sale for a great price from a member on C5. I had the opportunity to change it a while back and decided to keep it because I was happy with its performance and it will read as fat as 7.35 AFR. Most others will only read as fat as 10.

I just installed an Innovate LC-2 and wired it to the Analog Input on the Dashlogic and the SCT X4 Firewire cable for Datalogging. It works very nice and hides completely.

All right, thanks a lot guys, I have decided what to go with

I went with the latest rendition of the AEM UEGO. It's not what I initially had in mind, but the black bezel(my interior has been custom repainted by a forum member) of the AEM will match beautifully! I also like that the AEM doesn't need that manual free air re-calibration every so often.

Installation seems to be straight forward with this unit, and reviews some to be quite good as is pricing.

A little late in responding but I went with Aeroforce mainly for looks but also for the display options like scrolling graph and logging capability. A/F is on the left gauge, bottom parameter.

That's a cool gauge pod, where did you get it?
