Awesome!!

The sign up list is updated - C'mon folks, if you're on the fence, make the jump. There's very few things as good as a track day with Camaro friends.

PLUS! A cruise to Lansing all together after the track day if the timing works out!

I hope I can make it, I need a few more days to figure it out and to purchase a helmet eventually (beginner). I always wanted to do a Track Day!!

So, here is a quick question from a newbie as far as track days:
Will it be a limitation on how many laps one can do, certain time frames for different groups (i.e. beginners, advanced etc.)?
I am trying to plan this trip and wondered when would be the best time to show up at the track.
Thanks!

This will be my first Track Day in my SS. Get there first thing, the earlier you show up, the longer you get to go out and play. I am guessing there would be an orientation session in the morning as well.

For those doing the track day...are all of you doing the tour Thursday? I couldn't get in, so I don't have much of a reason to not just get a hotel for Tuesday night near Gingerman and go home after racing. I'd love to go to Lansing and stay there Wednesday night and be there for more events but I don't want to sit around until later Thursday with no car stuff to do. Thoughts?

No limitation on laps, the only limitation is time. Each session will have approximately 20 minutes, once per hour, to get out on the track. It may not sound like much - but trust me....it wears you out big time. And the car will want to cool down after that much time playing around.

The groups will be organized into three groups, novice, intermediate, and advanced (creative license on the actual names of the groups)...each group will go out for 20 minutes at a time, in a rotating fashion.

Make sure you sign up for an instructor if you've never been to a track day. It's an extra cost, but WELLLL worth it.

Keep in mind, the informal tour sign up online doesn't mean you can tour the plant if you didn't make it in to the factory event. Only factory Fest event participants will have the opportunity to tour the plant. :(

I thought years of Gran Turismo and Forza experience would be sufficient but my racing friends all highly recommended the instructor as well...I've decided to add one for myself. Getting my wheels refinished...should be back any day and then I can see how well I fit in the car with my new SA2015 helmet. My hotel is booked...just need to get the oil change in and i'm ready to roll!

Hey Everyone, we're two weeks away from the event and we have 8 Camaros signed up for Wednesday so far. That's a good turnout, but it sure would be great to see more of these bad boys on the track.

For those already signed up, thanks and looking forward to meeting you all.

Paul

One thing I am excited about is the repave that happened last year, I didn't really notice that story until a few days ago, but that will make the experience that much better.
