After the reviews who likes the V6 more??

Hey guys all this time I have been leaning away from the v6 as my musclecar demon inside wants to eat asphalt and burn rubber. My fear for the 6 was that it was just another 6, but after reading the reviews and some comments by our own number3 it seems that the V6 is the more balanced , all around car for a daily driver and if you aren't taking it to the track than thers no need for the v8. Does anyone else feel this way now after the reviews etc??

The reviews are very nice, and yes this car is not your average v6 pony car.

But in regards to the v8, if it's unecessary unless you're going to the track with it, 97% of the SS owners on this site should cancel their orders this instant.

Me. But I also felt that way before the reviews came out, for the same reasons.

Yea between the reviews and my brother telling me he wouldnt drive his 06 vette as a daily, then driving my friends CTS DI yesterday, and the thread here about the CTS getting 31 RWHP with just a Cat Back and CAI, I started thinking when will I use the SS. Probably never and if I mod the V6 just enough I can make it a 5 sec car so its starting to feel like a no brainer.

It's not like one "more". If you're not ever going to utilize 426hp and like the gas-mileage of the V6, get that one.

If you're going to race your car or get off on the prestige of having a V8 (or feel V6s are effeminate) then get a V8.

Basically, get what you want.

Yea Arch I agree.
I have been second guessing myself on my order. I orderd a 2LT/RS. After reading the reviews and talking with you and some others I deff am starting to feel more comfortable about my choice. For a daily driver I think I will be very happy.

I think you nailed it. I dont think I would ever race or get to utilize the 426HP but I would get off on the prestige of having a SS and keep hearing ppl say the SS will hold more value over time.

I will say that the majority of people especially on this site who get one arent worried about resale value because they will be holding on to them

Yeah you did.
Kinda ironic isnt it. I orderd a v6 and was second guessing my order and you orderd a V8 and seems have been wondering about going for the v6. You helped me to decide I should stick with my v6 order even though I believe you orderd the v8
