It's much better to install the cover in place despite the lack of space. Just a friendly warning
I found out the hard way too. I was also disgusted with the fact that under the carpet is just a cheap piece of styrofoam. Nonetheless I concur, do not remove the dead pedal.

Here is a hint for the installation. Start to push the cover (brake pedal) from the bottom to the top. Use just a few drops of glue. If you use a clamp it will help a lot.

Got the main package in at the end of last week, and just got home from my vacation. Those who have already talked to me will get the units they paid for shipped tomorrow. Everyone else who wanted one please PM me and we will figure out payment/shipping.

I will need tomorrow night to clean and prep them for shipment HOPEFULLY on Tuesday.

What glue did you use?

Are you feeling good about them staying in place?

I used power glue. Loctite 406. Just a few drops. It is like OEM or even better. you don't feel the cover at all. There is no slipping or what so ever.

So as I found out this morning when I was counting, it seems a bunch of the pieces dropped out through the seams in the box during shipment. So at the moment there are only 15 complete full sets.

Received the dead pedal cover today only to realize that I forgot that I had installed new floor mats that cover...

...the dead pedal.

Oh well, I installed it anyway. Looks GREAT!

Looks great how did you fix them? With glue or tape?

I bent and formed the inserts so they would sit flush on the pedals. Went with glue, no need to clamp them on.

I installed mine today as well. It looks factory! I'm very happy! Just to repeat try not to remove the dead pedal if you don't have to. I had to because I made a mess with the silicone glue. Once the pedal is removed the only way to get it to stay back on is to use double sided tape because the clips break off under the carpet. I called my local Chevy parts guy and the pedal is part of the carpet. It sells as one piece with the left side carpet and is $150.

Well, it can actually be reinstalled all right, nothing actually breaks off, but the round retainer clips that grab onto the studs on the back of the pedal drop into the floor when pulling up the pedal.

To reinstall, the bottom plastic panel that partially covers the door sill plate needs to be popped off, and there is another black clip between the gas and brake pedals that secures the carpet, if you also pop that off, the front of the carpet can then be pulled back enough to fish those retainers out and reattach the dead pedal.

(BTW this is an ultra-low cost solution, feels pretty dinky I've checked the old family Traverse and it has a proper, removable dead pedal bolted into the frame, as it should be, not sure why this wasn't possible for a sports car... must have saved them five to ten bucks, tops.)
