Black 2010 Camaro SS/RS - how much to ask?
I am debating selling the Camaro due to a possible job change. It's a black SS/RS with inferno orange interior, manual 6 speed, heated seats, boston acoustic stereo, sunroof and is super clean with 8,500 miles on it. It's in excellent condition. KBB puts these cars in the $30k range but I dont think that seems realistic. What its a realistic number I can expect to receive?
Thanks, Dave Last edited by Dave1222; 06-21-2014 at 03:42 PM. |

What year, condition? Also auto or manual? Both are 6 speed.

Made some clarifications...it's in excellent condition with no dings, dents, etc. Manual 6 speed transmission.

I had some free time today and I went to Carmax just to see how much they would offer...offer came in at $25k even. I would imagine I would be able to get a little more than that privately.

with that Mileage, yeah you could probably ask for a bit more than that. Is it a early build that doesn't have the reverse sensors and HUD? That'll bring it down a bit if the buyer knows about all the changes. I didn't know exactly what to look for when I was buying and I ended up with a 2SS without those and no RS package, in hindsight, I should've paid a bit more at the other dealer and got a later build with all those and sunroof with the RS kit.

I got $26,750 via private sale in January of this year for a very similar car and similar mileage. Mine was a non-RS with no sunroof. Make sure its as clean as you say it is. The guy who bought mine drove three hours because he didnt really believe the pictures I was sending him. He saw the car and realized I wasnt joking and offered on the spot.

^^^^i think that's a fair price. If it's as nice as you describe, someone will be willing to pay. Good luck with the sale!

Asking $26,000 for mine. Not much luck.

I think $26k would be a fair starting price but take anything lower than $24.5k. Bought mine for $27k from the dealership a few months back.
