My list isn't that long so far, still researching... but Thompson, TSP, BTR, and GPI are top contenders. I am considering Mast also. I'm not aware of any reputable builders in my area here in the southeast.
Vengeance Racing 2 hours away?

Lots of good info on this thread. My next project will be a motor for 1200-1500whp.

I thought they buy the assemblies from LME? I could be wrong, but I don't they they are an engine builder.

If money isn't that much of an issue then for sure a dart 6 bolt block.

I went through the same thing last year deciding on which block and ultimately decided on an iron LY6 408. I dont necessarily regret getting a 4 bolt block, but if i could have spared a few extra grand i would have gone 6 bolt. Still ended up making around 1100whp with LSA heads, but the tuner and i stopped at that power level because, guess what, 4 bolt block lol.

Why not just buy an iron truck block and build something yourself? Not bashing any builders here, but I built my Trans am's motor from the ground up and it was actually quite fun. I learned ALOT about engines and building and she started up the first time I bumped the starter. I'm guessing the reason is because of the power # your chasing?

If feel ya on that. I know that I could do that, but I know that I will end up doing it over again in a few years because it doesn't reach long term goals. Maybe I'm weird like that.

I have done builds before in the garage, including the LS1 in my Colorado, but never at the level or expense of what I'm getting ready for. I not willing to risk it on this one for what it is gonna cost.

As for the truck block, it's not going to reach my goal without a lot of risk. I want 6-bolt heads, and if I'm being completely honest, there a bit of vanity involved, with having the LSX or Dart block.

Any reason why a RHS block is not being considered?

They are expanding that program. Howard Tanner, the owner of Redline Motorsports is closing shop and will be doing nothing but building engines and doing the calibrations at Vengeance.

Oh wow! Really? Where is Vengance located? One of my Camaro friends had a build done and tuned by Howard. He might want to know this. Thanks.

My research tells me that RHS has been plagued with quality issues.

Is Howard already setup and running with Vengeance? If not, how soon will that happen?

Dart block here, so far so good. Rn full bolt on, heads, cam. Will be getting a dyno in a few weeks to get a baseline. I’m going with agp twins as well and I would recommend getting the Huron speed coated shorty turbo headers for the agp kit. They come 6 bolt and fit really well on my setup.

Nice, I need to get the Huron speed coated shorty turbo headers also for my build.

How do you like the M311 heads?

Cummings Georgia. This sucks big time but makes Vengeance Racing an even better shop.

Not sure. I know his building is sold. I think the email below is supposed to say March of 24. Not 23. I just got my work finished in October of 23.

I guy I recommend to Redline for his C6 Z06 got this email.
