I'm not looking for a free upgrade to the Xtreme Chiller, or the Competition mode. If there is a redesigned freon distribution fitting, that corrects previous models poor freon distribution, then yes, I would expect a little assistance with the upgrade.

Correct, it was SS kit, not GEN6.

Meth is a great option. I just completed phase 1 on my build with a Whipple, E85, etc. We had to stop short of our 800RWHP goal at 644 due to the belt slippage Phase II will be done shortly as we just ordered the Pegasus 10 rib and a 2.87" pulley. We wanted to get some data before the next phase so we took the car and laptop to a 1/8 mile track here locally. After a few passes and not a ton of time in between, on our last run, the IATs were 130 at the start and 150 and the end of the run. It may not be the best at reducing heat but meth is a fairly inexpensive option in the grand scheme of things and definitely helps fight the heat.

Do you have AC?

If you have room for an Interchiller you could change those IAT #s to 50 and 120. Staging at 50deg would be big improvement over 130deg.

Oh is see. let me give it some thought. As part of the build, we used the IW overdrive pulley and i can't keep the dang ac belt on (thats another battle) but we are switching to the ATI so if we can keep an AC belt on, this might be a good option to consider. thanks

If you do a chiller and a 2 to 3 gal. reservoir, the temps in a 1/8 mile would be say 50 to start and 70 by the 1/8 and 80 to 90 by the 1/4, I don't see 100, 120 or 130 degrees, without the reservoir it was 110 to 120, I'm over 800rwhp with a jackshaft Maggie which is the worst out there for heat, if you have a Heartbeat or LSA it will do even better.

Yeah i think the first step is to find a custom coolant resevoir than go from there. Im still using the one that came with the maggie kit. I have the jackshaft style as well and the IATs kill me when i go the drag strip.

The Roto Fab works well with Chiller because it’s plastic. Our SS Sedan test car staged around 50deg and never went over 120deg in ¼ with under hood intake, nothing but cut LSA hoses, Chiller and 4.5gpm pump. No H/E or reservoir at all, then when he lifted it went back to 50deg by the time he hit the service road.

I know this resevoir is for a zl1, but would this application fit our camaro ss. Im thinking it might rub a lil on the cai. I spoke with bmr and they think it can fit. Gonna go home tonight and take some measurements. This holds 1.7 gallons.
