The Dealership closest to my house said he has 15 orders in and is getting them all by april...should i believe him too?

everyone just calm down.....most of us have been waiting for the past three years and now that they are actually in production everyone seems to be getting on edge... just chill out and be happy for the people that are lucky enough to be getting theirs..

all that's being said is that a large majority of what a dealers have been telling people is either their hopes and dreams or a downright false.

like, when one of the guys on here was told by his dealer that his car will be the 9th produced. was he trying to screw him over? probably not. was he wrong? yes, definantly. one way or another... there are hundreds of examples, till the constraint gets lifted i wouldn't get my hopes up. all everyone on here is doing is trying to keep you from getting too dissapointed when you realize your dealer is in fact an idiot.

We were trying to help you understand that your V6 isn't going to get built yet. You can mock us and be a smart ass all you want but it won't change the fact that you are in for a shock if you think you are getting your V6 in mid April.

So I placed my order, here in Texas. at 7:45am on 10/13/2008. I had only been waiting forever to get to that point... only to find I had to go with a second choice color, Cyber Gray, on the high-end SS/RS model I was ordering. Bummer. My dream of Blue w/White Rally's was crushed.

When the decision changed to allow the Imperial Blue, at least when I found out about that in early February, I was ecstatic. I immediately called the dealership and adjusted my order, without issue.

Last week, the dealer called. My Camaro will be the ninth model off the line... the 9th one made!!! I will be the proud owner of one of the first ten of the production series *and* it'll be in my desired Blue w/White Rally's combination. Hooray!

One question though: the dealer told me that Chevy is doing something special to the first ones of the line, but wouldn't tell me what. Apparently, there will also be some special marketing stuff related to this coming my way soon, but once again they wouldn't tell me what. Anyone in the know about this?"

Oh I get what you're doing. But you all are at the point where you're acting like you hope I WONT get it. And that's what I find fascinating. Like you're fixated on being right on it.

If anything changes, my dealer will let me know then I'll let you know. Then you can all break your arms patting yourselves on the back because you were right!!
